Maximizing your Divine Identity
We are beings with a spirit, soul, and body having twodimensional experience; the physical and spiritual experience.
Our source of existence is spiritual. Our goal of existence is spiritual, our source of fulfillment is spiritual, and our source of governance is spiritual. The benediction that was given to the spirit man is to dominate three dimensions: the earth, the air, and the waters. These were too ancient to be stewarded by a creaturely Man from the dust.
It was by deliberation that God created a spirit Man, cut from Himself, and blessed him with an in-built God-nature, wisdom, and ability to be lord over His creation. The word “dominate” comes from the Latin word dominus, which means “lord” or “owner.” In our lifetime one may have access to an average of one lord which is the landlord, the owner of the land, or the house you stay in. God placed Man in the garden with a managerial position over His creation before forming him an earthly body that would legalize his stay on the earth realm. When He had done that, He formed the earthen vessel in which the spirit is resident.
“Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath {or} spirit of life, and man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7 AMP.
Hallelujah! the spirit man in you bears the image of God who is Spirit, and for you to reflect the correct image of God, transfer your gaze from the physical realm that through Adam we all are born fallen and glued into, and transfix it to the spiritual, the nature of God, through Jesus, who is the correction of the first Adam, or the correction of the fall. This truth sets you free from trying to conform to the earthly standards that incorrectly define you. This is the first step towards greatness. That knowledge, that revelation of your identity in and through God, and that in God’s Word, which is Christ Jesus, lies in your success. Dear brethren, God assured Joshua that prosperity and success are in the Word.
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous. Joshua 1:8 AMP.
So, we gaze (which is to look at, with a fixed focus, with an intent to study, and an intent to extract knowledge) at Jesus in God through the Bible, the Torah, the Word of God. In doing so, we capture the dimensions of God continually and reflect them to the world. No one is living their lives for themselves. As long as you are a human being, you are an image-bearer, and those in God bear the image of God.
You ought to live by the rules of the one whom you must reflect. And there is no way that mankind can live without reflecting someone or something outside themselves because that is how God engendered them. As many gainsay the Lordship of Jesus, they fruitlessly attempt to discover their identity apart from God through the pursuit of inner placidity, magnetizing prosperity and greatness, but the woeful news is that anything outside Him is desolate and transitory. That is why the Bible expressly reveals that in Him we are blessed with every benison that pertains to life.
